Wild guess .. F3 Based 
The clue is the F3 T> prompt.
You need to look at the available commands for T mode. Then the structure of the command.

I do the same thing myself NC - probably more often than you do

I have pressed Ctrl+Z to get the prompt in hyperterminal

The % command is obsolete on F3 T> hence the message.
