Currently running Low Level Format Tool 2.36 build 1181 on Maxtor 4D060H3 (Yeah, I know - cutting edge, right?). Device details panel says "Unknown. Please post to...(this forum)", so I'm posting it.
Right now the red letters at the top of this box say my "message contains too few characters", so I'm typing endlessly and aimlessly trying to turn it off, but I'm not having any success in turning it off, so I'm going to quit typing 'cos a good message should be brief and to the point and shouldn't have to contain a minimum number of characters, and it still hasn't turned off and I'm not going to worry about some stupid red letters anyway. WTF? Looks like it's about 40% done formatting that drive, so I got lotsa time to keep typing just to see if I can turn off the stupid red letters that tell me that my "message contains too few characters". Anybody reading this feel that my message "contains too few characters"? I sure feel like it contains way too many characters, but I'm willing to keep on typing 'til the stupid red letters that say my "message contains too few characters" turns off. I see that my message may contain no more than 60,000 characters, 'n I'm wondering how close to that I gotta get before the stupid red letters that say my "message contains too few characters" turns off. Closer than this, I guess. WTF?
Moderator, I'm going now. This was my first visit to this board. I came out of courtesy to the person who supplied me with Low Level Format Tool 2.36, and who requested I post the results on the Device Details panel here. I didn't want the hassle of registering just to post requested material, but I did. Thanks for the program.
The stupid red letters at the top of this box still say my "message contains too few characters." How many is enough?
Ric.
