my documents folder did not get backedup. the reformat was a quick reformat of xp. I am tring to get bak my hawx gamesave file. I know it seems stupid but I have never recovered anything so I just wanted to try.

I have used recuva and getdataback. I have just fallowed the basics with both programs.

I diod just a little downloading before relising the folder was not backeduo, maybe about 30MB.

Any advise would be great I have never done this successfully before.

1. was it NTFS or FAT32 before formatting?
2. Use GetDataBack NTFS or FAT what the volume was as...
3. RAW scan or search by type by using WinHex
