I have question, why SATA power is 5 pins, but Molex is 4 pins, last that 3.3V need ?

I found my PSU that sata power cable is 5 pins, (5V,12V,3.3V) .
but molex is 4 pins, only(5V, 12V)

I want to use that molex to sata power adapter. missing 3.3V , only 5V and 12V, safe hdd device?

The SATA standard allows for +3.3V power, but AFAIK, HDD manufacturers use only the +5V and +12V supplies, at least for their 2.5" and 3.5" models. The 3.3V rail, if required, is generated on the PCB by means of a DC-DC converter.

I would think so, but there's always the product manual or other documentation.

Google should find it for you, if you use appropriate filters, eg ...
