I have some Hitachi 1" microdrives I am playing with. They use a .3mm pitch 35 pin ZIF connector and a PATA interface. Does anyone know where I can find an adapter or cable to connect these to a PC? I found one site that USED to have an adapter, but it sold for $120.00 USD and seems to be discontinued. Too much for what is currently a toy. I don't mind playing with making an adapter if anyone can suggest a source for the cable and parts. Google so far has Not been my friend on this.

Note: My Tableau write blockers adapter uses a 40 pin cable, as do most of the 1.8" drive adapters.

Thanks

FYI, this 35-pin ZIF is also being discussed on this other thread:

does-adapter-for-this-exist-t21718.html

Some people on that thread are confusing this (I think Hitachi-specific) 35-pin version, with the (standard) 40-pin version, but you might want to follow that thread...

Thanks, my initial search did not find that thread. I found it after I posted this. Most of the posts / links there do lead to adapters using the 40 or 50 pin connectors though.
