Laptop Hardisk Western Digital 120gig

June 27th, 2012, 16:49

I opened my Laptop hard disk Western Digital 120gig
6 screws are unmounted, I just look the parts inside :D , then I closed it again.
When I start my Laptop(screws mounted back), I found out that it's less speeder than before I opened it  .

So, I format it using HDD low level, and I noticed that the formatting is very slow, it starts from 29.9 mb/s at least 1% to 15percent,
BUT the mb/s is going down, at 75% formatting, the mb/s is 5.8mb/s.

Before this happens, I remember before when formatting(when was not opened), the average speed is 34mb/s, NOW it's 5.8mb/s

Is it because of the screws wrongly mounted? I doubt it was.
So, How many turns should I?
thanks

Why did you open it? Did you think something was wrong with it?

Dust entered when you opened it and is now slowly killing the drive.
