Did you find the wd2500js, I only ask as im also looking for the same drive as im trying to get back information of my Mac drive.

WD2500JS - 40NGB2
DCM: DSBANTJCA


If anyone can help I would much appriciate it as I have many years of my childrens images from birth to school which are priceless and Im starting to feel there is no chance of getting back my info.

I have no clue on getting back lost data, I have had a company look into it but was told to look for and identical drive to swap the components over.

Suggestion: Find a different company to do data recovery for you, because real data recovery pro will find compatible parts for you, not other way around.

I have this drive for sale, just in case you still want it.
