Dear All
My friends advise that I should look for the PCB replacement, not the whole drive.
Kindly advise if you have this replacement..for WD10EAVS-00D7B0.
PCB No. 2060 701537 004 REV A
pls post reply or PM me.
Tks
Louis

Read this thread:
verbatim-western-digital-1tb-ext-drive-not-powering-t14369.htmlDoes your board have an 8-pin serial EEPROM chip at location U12 below the Marvell MCU (big "M")?
If not, then you will probably need to transfer the internal ROM contents of the Marvell chip from patient to donor. A straight board swap won't work.
There are companies offering a ROM transfer a service for $10, if you buy a PCB from them.

The EEPROM data is most probably in the MCU. I think the WD Doctor will be able to read the data in ROM and transfer the data over..
Do you use the P3000 or the Salvation Data Suite? which is better?
I just need the PCB replacement.
thanks

Sorry, I mistook you for an end user.
As for the DR products, I use neither. I'm not a DR guy.

Thanks for your offer to program for me...the joy is doing it myself and troubleshooting. and getting the experience at the same time...hehe..
Can you give me a quote and also send me a high quality picture of the chips and back of the PCB..
Tks

yeah. i can. but why you had to match with chip and label?
June 21st, 2010, 4:26
actually, it is not a must...but if the chip can be the same,,better still

right..because i check with another vendor, but he ask to give him the chip number also,,which i thot the same as you..why need to match the chip and the label..but i just gave him.
