Looks like a voltage regulator fried on the PCB, but I believe the drive itself is OK.
A sticker on the PCB says:
2061-701477-000 AB XS 4C04 00VE 4 0003210 7213
If anyone has one for sale, please let me know. Thanks!

i have it in stock. you can check diode of your PCB has problem or no. may you can solve it out just remote burned diode. and for this kind of need to program original FW into good PCB that just simple swap PCB won't help. i can help you program it. please contact me by email or MSN if need help. thanks.

This is not a simple pcb swap there is adaptive information stored for each drive on the pcb board. You need to either have tools to transfer this one or soildering skills to do the same.

For WD PCB swap, need to check the board number which is etched on the PCB. The number is begin with 2060-
