Hi,
I am looking for this WORKING drive: (can have bad sectors, but must be functional)
WD2500BEVS-75UST0-01.01A01
Any __US__ can be good, but only with SA SPT 693, if you know how to check it.
If you have any, please let me know!
If you can't check SA SPT value, send me PM and i will help to check.
Thanks,
Janos

Hi friends,
If you have this drive in stock, please let me know.
I need it only for hotswap-donnor.
I can even sent it back to you, if you don't want to sell it!
My client is really really needs and waiting for it....
Thank you for checking it.

Are you sure about xxUSxx? 693 seems like it should be Denali (or Venus), or Saturn

Yes.
I have many in stock with 686 SPT, but i can't use it for this purpose.
It looks like this one have different servo structure and can't implement the patient SA with this SPT value.

Hi,
I had this one pass by for which I saved modules. Let me know if you think it may work. I know who has it. Details of SPT did not show up on SD software, maybe I can find in modules.
By the way, found this although you probably already checked, plus you need to verify SPT anyway, but maybe they can check.

Thank you for checking.
Your tool is not so informative anyway.
Can you check the link table, ROM version, ROM generation values?
OR!
Save the service tracks!
The size should show the SPT.
Thanks

Yes, this was my "PLAN B" to try to modify an denali drive, and try out the McKinley SA in. (After some preliminary check of course.)
If i can't find the matching Mckinley, i am forced to try PLAN B.
Thank you.
BTW in another topic, you have an 60UST0.
Can this be good?
I can send loader from my drive, maybe match and you can check the SPT.
(Don't get confused, the loader can set the SPT!)

Sorry N.C., software does not have those details. I dont have hard drive (could possibl get it for a while), and I have no tracks saved.

I have drive WD2500BEVS-22UST0 that has 693 SPT and this one is not a 01.01A01 but 06.01C06
And I have checked all firmwares 01.01A01 that I have ever worked with and they all have 686 SPT.
Janos still need this?

Yes, thank you for checking it!
I am planning to try to make a hotswap donor from one Denali drive.
If i can't make it, i need to get one wich is closer, like yours.
I am not 100% sure about your drive as well, because it is different FW version, can be different servo structure as well....
I will reply soon, need some days....
Have a good weekend my friend.

Janos
I have just found
firmware with ATA revision
000700B8 so same as Yours, coming from WD2500BEVS-22UST0 with firmware version 01.01.A01 and of course 693 SPT
and I have checked that using resources from that firmware Map module (dir) can be read on the drive with firmware 06.01C06 that I have
so I think that proves that the servo structure is the same
I can share this firmware if You want maybe You can manage without hot swap
but there is also bad news about this drive, as this one was a patient drive from my client and it has defect in 33 SA track where originaly was stored ATA module. During recovery process I have done relocation of ATA to a different track. So the drive works perfekt but track 33 remains bad, so You will have to do modification to your patient firmware before uploading to this drive to avoid using track 33

Details of SPT did not show up on SD software?
SquaL Choose Royl series before You "load from HDD" if You have that drive or "Load from file" resources choosing ROYL folder not a Black I folder

Thanks Hary, sharp eye. This was done when I recently purchased the unit (and still learning). I notice the mistake a few days ago, when I checked firmware similar to what N.C. needs, posted on Slavation forum (sorted under ROYL), unfortunately the SPT does not match so I did not even bother mentioning it. I dont have drive (have resource file), but could get it. I will do as you mention with file.

I suggest you open up a new thread to the appropriate section (HDD Market) and ask there, incl. the PCB number you 're after.
Good luck.
