Hi
Accidently plugged power supply backwards to hard drive input. :( Removed PCB from hard drive and there are no signs of physical damage however hard drive does not respond. Looking for replacement board for WD1200 Caviar Serial ATA

Not only a replaement board can help you on this one. You need to move adaptive to the new board and if you burned more than the board there can be internal damage. Lots of time the premap is burned too. You would have to test this becasue if you put on new board it will burn too.

There is a chip at U12. I'm guessing this is the ROM chip to be swapped to the new board?
