Used DDI wanted

I'm interested in buying a used DDI to enhance the DR capabilities of my small, home-based computer repair business (Sabo Computer Repairs). My customers are primarily residential folks but I have the occasional SOHO/small business customer. Recoveries costing over $300 are non-starters for most residential customers, so cost of equipment is a concern.

Serge of Deepspar told me they don't sell used/obsolete product but said used DDIs can be found in the marketplace from someone upgrading, for around $1,500. At that price, I'm all ears!

I don't get it. We get residential clients who are willing to pay more than $300 every day...most of them usually after their technician tries everything they can first.

Hi Luke!

Your customers have been pre-qualified by the computer repair shops who know they can't do what's required, so they refer the work to you. You don't see how many residential customers tell the technicians to forget it, it's too expensive. From experience, I don't get much DR volume from my residential customers and when they hear what it will cost, even at my low prices, they decide they can live without the pictures/documents. I am in the process of preparing more DR-related content for my site to attract such business, as there's clearly not much there at the moment. A DDI and the better promotion would increase the volume of such business, I'm hoping.

Just to close this thread, I ordered a Bandura at Atola's lowered price (now that it's being discontinued) and should receive it this coming week. From all I read, it should be a good starting point. Still have a lot to learn, but this is a good start, I think.
