Hi,

I am going to install my new HDD in my desktop. I want to setup windows XP or 7 whatever but in boot screen it says:

Verifying DMI Pool Data ...........
Boot from CD/DVD :
Press any key to boot from CD.....
Invalid System Disk
Replace the disk, and then press any...
_

How can I fix it? I have tried by resetting BIOS settings, locating First boot to CD drive etc.

Hello,

It's ok.
Insert boot media and start with OS installation
Before you start check in BIOS if your new drive is visible

Hi, when it says press any key to boot to CD that's where you have to quickly press a key.
If it doesn't boot, possible that there is something wrong with the cd, if it is a burnt copy.

In BIOS, try changing the IDE mode to legacy... or whatever is in your BIOS (the OTHER option to AHCI)

there are other option in the BIOS to do with booting as well.

such as boot from flash drive enabled/disabled
pxe boot enabled/disabled etc etc

make sure it looks like boot from cd s ok
cheers
