Buy/sell hard drives, parts, tools

Hi
I have a hard drive that does not power on.
There is power coming in. I know I can replace the whole PCB but I was wondering is there anything similar to the TVS diode I can check.
All I see on the PCB are lots of capacitors and a couple of transistors
I have looked at a few old hard drives mainly IDE and cannot find any diodes on them.
I hope some one can advise.
Thanks in advance

Can anyone help with the Hitachi pcb please
I can't see any diodes or fuses. Just transistors and capacitors.

any reason you cant post photos of your actual boards? those pictures really don't come up big enough. for example, pictures in this post are good(for reference)
http://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32050 fuses or fusible links can be labelled on silkscreen of pcb with component numbers starting with L, resistors with a "0" on them and components labelled with an "F" are all things that may be worth looking for(test continuity).

Thanks for the help
I cannot find any fuses or fusible links
I have uploaded some better images
I do not have access to a camera at the moment
can some one advise on what points to test or to determine which components are faulty please
