Simple job: will pay

February 25th, 2016, 13:03

Hi,

I am looking for somebody to professionally modify the serial number of a Seagate hdd which is part of a RAID.

This job only involve the modification of the serial number of a clone disk so that it matches the original disk. This is the only way to get the clone disk to be accepted by the RAID.

There is no need to do any data recovery etc.

Please send me a reasonable quote. I am located in New York, USA.

Thanks,

The data on the raid is of no value? If only one drive failed, why not backup the data, put in a new drive and rebuild?

AIUI, the OP does not want to pay $$$ for a data recovery when all that is needed is a serial number edit. That said, what sort of RAID does not allow for a rebuild when one drive fails???

This is an EMC raid whereby the serial number is match to the array. The RAID array does not rebuild any more as the parity is broken.

We are not looking for complete data recovery as we know the data is intact. The disk in question has all sectors clone to another disk. All I need is to get the serial number to match the original disk. There is no need for full data recovery which is way more expensive. The data is useful but not worth the money to spend on full data recovery via DR company.

I apologize to the reputable DR pros from new york, I can't remember one now, sorry.
if there is one please raise your hand.
