Looking for a Sandisk device with a 20-99-00128-3 cpu/controller and 48-pin TSOP NAND.

All of you "NAND-folks" now what I am searching for

If it has a 24 kHz x-tal, thats even better.

PM me if you have one.

They are indeed nasty. And there is readable ascii text in the dump saying "THERE IS NO DATA HERE". But that is probably things for the factory pre init use.

It seems to be hard to find a functional board with this controller.

PM if more ..

Refresh: Looking for a Sandisk device with a cpu/controller as in picture. (or controller only).

See photo: The first 2 lines MUST be matched. It does not matter from what model it is. Physically broken device is also ok, as long as the controller is undamaged.

PM me if you have one.

Arthur.

Case solved! No longer need this device/controller.

Dmitry, if selling or searching for components, is it possible to remove or edit message when it' s no longer needed?

I have a similar pendrive here with probably bad controller. (one of the USB data lines seem to be damaged)
I haven't receive the housing of the pendrive, only the pcb part :(, so I don't know the P/N of the pendrive itself to look for one.
So a similar controller would be handy, but i cannot be sure in that when I buy a similar pendrive, because they use different controllers inside similar pendrives...

Arthur, would U mind shipping the controller once U are done with this case? (I will ship it back when done...)

pepe

A similar controller will not work according to my tests and experience. It must be an exact match. 20-99-00128-3 + the second line. Those controllers is Palladium family and there is different versions of the "20-99-00128-3" controller. Maybe there is some system coded in the second line that we need to find out. The pen it self could be Cruzer Micro or another model. That info is in the memory chip. It is possible to test the controller version on a functional board. You have done some measurements and determined that one of USB data lines is damaged. Btw, is the x-tal is running with correct amplitude?. There is also some other things to measure and check that may be the cause of the failure, but I assume that you have done this. If it's not 100% determined that the controller really is bad, I recommend swap it to a donor PCB first and test.

I would not be particually happy about shipping my controllers out and decided not to because they are very difficult to find (as you have experienced). Sorry for this. One never know when it's needed again. And every swap is subject to damage the controller and- or the board. If I have a matching controller, I would be glad to help recover the data if you ship the memory chip to me instead. If I don't have a matching controller, and if it's not 100% sure that your controller is damaged, you could ship that too. If you are interested, PM me for costs and arrangements.

Hello,

some update on the project.
I have received a board with the same type of controller from Sean, thanks to him for the shipment!
The board had a shorted cap and an open resistor, but was easily fixed, the controller is shown now in the system management.
After soldering the flash onto the board nothing changed, I mean I could not access the content, only the 64MB read-olny zeroes. :(
The second line of the controller has some differences, so that's the probable cause of the inaccessibility.
Again I am in a need of this controller...
20-99-00128-3
S735-730400
SDC1

thanx for looking,
pepe
