FW: 3.14 doesn’t appear to be very common, as I’m finding it difficult to locate one.

I have been searching the internet for a drive matching those parameters, and just came across your post.

I know it's over four months since then, but if you DO have a Seagate ST98823AS 80GB SATA FW: 3.14 still available I'd be very happy to be able to buy it off you. The original poster was right, FW 3.14 IS rare, it's easy enough to find FW 3.04 - 3.06.
