Buy/sell hard drives, parts, tools

Hi guys, this is my first post at this forum. So please bear with me.
Well, my deskstar now can't be used because I accidentally damaged one of the power connector pins. So my very first question is can it still be saved? A bit soldering perhaps to the pin? If not, can i just replace the PCB with the exact same one? I found one on ebay but that's for HDS728040PLAT20 of which I suspect it is for a 40gb deskstar as advertised by the ebay seller. Will it work if i can't find the exact same one?
Thanks a lot guys. Any help will be really appreciated

You need to match the first two lines of the little sticker on the PCB.
Also you need to copy the NVRAM info from the chip on the original PCB to the new one.
I suggest you try and repair the original PCB first.
Where are you based?

By the first two lines do you mean the white label on the black area?
Is there a simple DIY fix for this? Because I am based in Indonesia. A bit too far from you

, don't you think?
Sorry I am very noob at this but what's the NVRAM info and how do you copy it to the new pcb?

Hi,
NVRAM is needed to find the correct starting SA. we copy NVRAM content using DR tools or other method
