PCB Wanted For Maxtor DiamondMax 21 250GB

Hi Guys, I'm new on this site :-) Hello to all!

I'm requiring a pcb for the Maxtor DiamondMax 21 250 GB Pata Hdd. SN: 9qe0k5ez - Think the model is: 6A250V0
Firmware is: 3.AAE

Date code: 07181 - Site Code: TK

It looks like a diode has nearly melted on the pcb and I need to access my data on the hdd. When I connected it to the pc, it's recognised in bios etc, but need the pcb to swap over, unless anyone who's took off the diode has managed to get their hdd back up and running.

The diode is near the power connector on the underside of the hdd on the pcb.

Many thanks :D

Hi Pcimage :-)

Thanks for the reply. Well, when I boot up the pc - it shows on the list of devices, but what is wrong is one of the tvs diodes is burning when I use the hdd. It's near the power connector on the underside of the hdd. I've seen a few images on the site where others have had the same happen to them - and the images are pretty much the same as what I see on the pcb.

Would you recommend the removal of the tvs diode? Just I have a lot of data I need on there...

Many thanks :D

I've managed to remove the tvs diode in question and managed to get my data off from it...

Thanks to all for help :-)
