Hi,
I've been needing to purchase a PC-3000 for some time now. I believe the NA distributor that I spoke to a while ago had told me the cost is around $10,000. Is this true? Where can I find one for less expensive? I found this site selling one for $485. Is this legit? Here is the URL:

Stay away from the rip-off chinese site, it's false economy buying it.
You pay for what you get, bear in mind you are probably getting English speaking support which is invaluable for a beginner.

Why don't you send the drive to a pro instead of trying to diy ? It will cost you much less

Did you try Frys Electronics or RadioShack?
