I have a Western Digital Cavier 200 SE EIDE (WD2000) that needs a new PCB; it got fried by a fluke reverse connection while it was being moved. From this, I presume all the data is intact, and a replacement PCB would fix it. Currently, it spins up but there is no data connection.
It is over 3 years old (out of warranty) and was used for backups; now desire to pay a little money for a replacement PCB so I can get some of the files off it (without paying extortion fees to data recovery specialists). I don't mind paying critical specialists for special recovery cases, but really, this problem is as simple as it comes and I can handle it myself assuming I can find the part I need.
Otherwise I'll pay cheap for a "new" one off ebay or what not, but wanted to check with you all if anyone knows where I can find just the PCB.
Any takers?
