Looking for a Seagate drive:

Model: ST9120822AS

FW: 3.CAE

Data:8021

Site:WU

Here is the catch: it's from an apple notebook, so I need the Apple code to match as well:

VEN-S 655-1327B *JY72716KRXRJA*

I am not as familiar with the apple codes, but i think all that is need is the "655-1327B"

If you have a drive please let me know asap as this is an urgent case

indeed!

No visible rings on this drive; so i believe the problem is actually heads which is what I am attempting to replace.

Donor I received had heads stuck to platters on opening!

Removed heads from platter, and attempted swap anyways (since i could already not return the drive)

no luck, still "click click *pause* click click *pause*

head mask ffff

Why would you open a donor without first testing it to see if it works?

I did =)

Drive worked great; spun down, then powered off.

Go to open it up to transfer heads, and what do you know....heads are on the platter. Not just alittle stuck either. VERY stuck.

Bad luck I guess....
