Really, Really need this. Hope someone has the PCB. FedEx badly damaged a computer that my sisters computer and the legs on the large chip on the pcb got dinged. She just had her first baby and had all of her pictures on it along with some important family files. She wasn't very smart and didn't backup anything.

Drive is a Hitachi Deskstar 82.3gb

Model: HDS728080PLAT20

Jul-2004

P/N/: 0A30290
MLC: BA1116

Big chip on PCB says:

Infineon
0A30164
UAB-M3057-HT
V3.3
FRKRSI

Label by pcb says: 0A30417 BA1085A XFK427 1L03

What do you plan on doing with it if you get one?

Was hoping to swap the pcb just to get the data off unless it's not possible.

easier (for pro) to read out the old nvram, or rebuild a new one from the sa (service area)

I don't know who's the nearest pro on here to you.

Any takers guys?

Found a match locally. Can I just swap boards for a bit to get a little information off without transfering the nvram or will the board burn up

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. It's not going to work for a minute or two and then burst into flames.

99% won't work.

I say 99% because once I found two VLAT drives that worked with the same PCB
