Hi, I'm looking for a PCB for a Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 300 GB, P/N 9Y7284-301, Firmware 3.02. I located a close match but it had a later firmware version. Thanks, GeekLady |

What are the symptoms of your bad drive? PCB might not be the answer. |

If your drive is buzzing or humming, your motor may be seized or heads stuck to the motor... Either way, you may have a physically damaged hard drive. |

You might have a seized drive, but heads do not stick to a motor or a platter/s on those models. Most likely platters spin at a higher speed from average, which causes a temperature to rise above normal. Have it checked by a data recovery pro. to diagnose exact problem if you care about your data.... |
