Looking for WD200JB 00DUA1 PCB

Hi my old WD2000JB disk has failed and from what I can gather from other posts I might be able to breath some life into it to get my data off it with a replacement board.

Here's the disks details...

MDL , WD2000JB - 00DUA1
DCM , DSBHNVJAH

2061 - 001160 - 100 D

If you need any other info to work out if you have something that's compatable just ask.....

The drive itself spins up sounding normal, does the usual sounding searching ticks and then shuts down. It's recognised by my PC and it starts to install the drive but the drive shuts down before the installation can be completed.

So there you go I am either looking for just the logic board or an old used working drive that I can use for spares please.

Fair enough...are you saying the only way I can retrieve the data is to give it to a specialist company??? Doesn't that cost a bomb??
