Need Part for faulty HDD

Hi.

the hard drive suddenly died, it beeps and doesn't works. could it be the pcb? or did i lost the hdd forever?

hdd info:
ST3500830AS
P/N: 9BJ136-224
FIRMWARE: 3.AAD
DATE CODE: 08176
SITE CODE: TK

it can be recovery. but are you sure it got PCB problem? does it spin up? i have it in stock. please contact me by email. thanks.

I have no technical knowledge to know if the problem is the pcb or not, that's why i was asking for help.

i will try the hdd and see if it spins up.

The drive seems to spin up, i can feel something.

so, what to you guys suggest?

If it spins and beeps, then a pretty good chance the heads are bad.

If you feel a little vibration and it beeps, it could be a siezed motor also.

Yes it could, but I would have said that a seized motor would emit a quiet "buzz buzz" rather than a beep.
