Item Information

HDD Info
======
Seagate 7200.11 750 GB
Model number: ST3750330AS (*Originally out of a Freeagent Pro Ext HD)
Date Code: 08276
Site Code: WUXISG
Capacity: 750GB

PCB Info
======
P/N: 9BX156-568
PCB: 100466824
Rev: B UJAJ-6

*The possibly tricky thing here is that my drive originally came out of a Seagate Freeagent Pro External HD. So, Im thinking to be able to match it as close as necessary, the matching drive would also need to be from a Freeagent Pro Ext. And I think the only way to see the specs Ive listed above is to open the Ext drives casing. Just thought Id mention it in case anyone has a Freeagent lying around and might not realize it could just be my "needle in a haystack".

Please let me know if you need any other specs to match your board up with mine.

Thanks so much in advance!

At this point all you have is guesswork. I think it needs to go to a professional who can solve your problem, whatever it may be.

I agree all I have is guesswork, which is why I had 2 professionals look at the drive. Both were completely aware of the firmware issue with the Barracuda 7200.11 and both concurred that it needs the PCB board replaced.

The DSR company wanted to charge me ~$700 to do the legwork of finding the right PCB board and replacing it. If all it requires is finding a matching board and a few screws, I cant justify paying someone that much for something I can do myself. Is there something Im missing?

Yes, that's not all it requires. And even if we assume that the PCB is bad, that doesn't mean it's the only problem.
