I have a kit for sale of all the necessary equipment to repair a Seagate 7200.11 drive with a BSY error, also known as a bricked drive.

The kit includes the following:
• A Cables Unlimited SATA power supply
• Nokia CA-42 Cable
• 3V CR2032 battery (to power the Nokia cable)
• 4 extra female jumper pins (the Nokia cable already has 3 pins attached for the necessary connections)

I don't know about that. This is an actual Nokia cable not a no name brand. Some have reported a non Nokia cable not working properly. Guess I should have checked e-bay.

plenty of info on this forum to build the cable. including directions to mod the nokia cable.

haha... don't make it intricacy. one RS232 cable & SATA power cable done.

I purchased a propper USB TTL Cable with the correct plug on the other end for less than £10 ($15) and that needs nothing more to get it running, only Putty / Hyperterm.

I think the price is a little extortionate TBH.
