i am looking for a PCB board for a Western Digital WD2500KS
MDL:WDS2500KS-00MJB0
DCM:DSCANTJAA

Board:2061-701335-C00

i will take any board that will make this drive work. i am trying to recover data. if you have a board that will work, please provide location of proof, so that i may confirm.

not detected in bios. no sound of drive spinning up.

take off PCB and have a look. SMOOTH chip may burned already. 8)

the full number on the bottom of the drive is

Your motor controller chip is damaged.

You will probably need to transplant the 8-pin serial EEPROM chip at location U12 from patient to donor. This is because it stores unique drive calibration data.
