I have the exact model you describe. I found this post by doing a google search. The hard drive has never been used.

The screen on my HP elitebook went bad, so they sent me a refurbished laptop because it was faster than shipping a new screen. I took my old hard drive out of the non-working laptop and put it in the refurbished, then this HS08XJF/M was never used. However, it does have vista preloaded on it.
