Before you go buy the donor drive, what's wrong with your hard drive??? This AAKS model is often time out side of DIY arena due to the PCB design. |

Well, problem is that it won't power up, tried 2 different sources. I used it via USB adaptor (have an older pc w/o SATA) to transfer files from another drive for reformat. After reformatting the other drive, this one failed. All I have on this drive are PSP & PS2 backup iso files. Everything else on it is either expendable or on another pc. I did however plan to replace my existing secondary drive (seagate 120gb) with this one(via pci SATA controller). The problem drive was only used for 15 months in my brother-in-law's pc....they thought it crashed and bought a new 750gb from Dell. |

Awwww. I would say RMA the drive. It will cost you more to find the replacement PCB that will work on your drive. |
