I was told maybe I should post a pic of my board. So here it is maybe it's not even savable!

The SMOOTH chip is the motor controller. I would check the motor windings for shorts with a multimeter. There appear to be three phases and a common terminal.

You will also need to transplant the EEPROM chip at U12 from patient to donor. This chip stores unique, drive specific calibration data.
