I'm looking to replace the drive controller, here are the specs:

WD Caviar
MODEL: WD400BB-00JHC0
DATE: 16 JUN 2005

IDE
Board number on label: 2061-701292-000 AK

...and who will transfer the internally programmed part of the FW between the 2 pcb?

I have this pcb wich is physically compatible, but i don't want to sell it.
If you want parts, ask sunny here.

I just want to tell you, your problem can't be solved with a simple pcb replace, because these PCBs had internally programmed unique parameters wich needs to transfered as well.

These PCB has external ROM IC (8 legs - U12 ), so I think it will be an easy job for a junior technician to transfer the original ROM from the patient PCB to the donor PCB.

I have no this pcb at my hands, but i think this pcb should have parallel ROM/EEPROM instead.

I don't know if this is the correct PCB, but it has the same Marvell MCU:

There is a serial EEPROM at U12.
