Friend's drive MHW2120BH CA06820-B38800AP failed with data not backed up. Is it necessary to get exactly the same PCB model (the few I've found are very expensive), or is it possible that a drive board that, say, begins with CA06820- might work? Any help is appreciated. Steve |

If the controller board is bad, you need to get an identical one with the same firmware. |

What failed. Power supply, heads, internal SA. You do not give us a whole lot to go on. This needs a better diagnostics in order to go on. Tell us more details of what is failing and what the drive is doing. |
