Hi

i am looking to recover data from this harddisk some adviced me to replace the PCB with the same model

my HDD is wd2500js-22mhb0

You are probably not going to be able to "recover data" with a straight PCB swap.

If this is your board ...

... then you will need to transfer the 8-pin serial flash memory chip at location U12 from patient to donor. This chip stores unique, drive specific "adaptive" information.

Some board suppliers include a firmware transfer or ROM transfer service for US$10 - $20:

As it looks like they made no effort to clean the drive's exterior before opening, I can only imagine the contamination on the inside after opening it.
