Hi If you have a multimeter first of all check the diodes. To match a pcb you need the same pcb letters and the close date possible. You have a sticker covering the drive date.. tell us the date of this drive. Regards |

What do you mean in PCB letter ? The number on the main chip (K4H561638J-LCCC) ? (cf picture number 5) I have only one sticker on my HDD, you can see 46080.40 . Is your drive date you are talking about ? |

The K4H561638J-LCCC chip is the SDRAM. The "main" chip is the Marvell MCU, 88i9025-TFJ2. The drive's manufacture date is under the 46080.40 sticker. From an examination of the date codes on the various ICs, I would expect a manufacturing date of around January or February 2010. BTW, hdrescue is asking you to check the TVS diodes: http://www.users.on.net/~fzabkar/HDD/HD103SJ_TVS.jpg Repost to the repair forum if you need more help in this regard. You may not need a PCB ... |

If you want to discuss your DIY repair options, then repost to the Repair forum: hard-disk-drives-data-recovery-and-repair-f1.html BTW, a digital multimeter should cost you less than US$10. In fact here is a DMM for $5: Cen-Tech 90899 7 Function Digital Multimeter (US$5): http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function ... 90899.html Cen-Tech 90899 7 Function Digital Multimeter User Manual: http://manuals.harborfreight.com/manual ... 90999/9089 |
