We have an entire drive with this PCB. It is hard to find just a PCB by itself for this model.

you do know that this pcb does not have external rom, right? You do know a straight board swap will not work, right?
It is not hard to find the pcb-it took me 30 seconds to find it for $39, but i don't know if you know what to do with it.

I was referring to OP, not porthas.
I presume OP should be aware that he/she should look for a solution that will actually work (ie. purchase drivedonor's service for rom transfer or someone elses) instead of throwing away their money on a pcb purchase.
Also, judging by the fried component in OP's pictures, i'd say the only way this can be done is by using professional services. I do not know if donor drives offer exactly this.

@northwind,
We actually do. We also send out a flyer with every PCB and HDD we sell that pretty much says it all. On every listing of ours we explain that most of the time simple PCB swap is not enough and there is more you need to do, whether it is a chip swap or ROM / NV-RAM recovery. If a customer purchased a PCB from us and it didn't fix the issue, we accept returns within 30 days, and of course explain to them that the issue is most likely in adoptive data inside of PCB chip.

@porthas
I know. I have purchased pcbs from you and i have reviewed your site several times and i know how you work and, to put things straight, i find the way you deal with things very honest and decent.

I was only trying to make OP aware that a single pcb swap will NOT work, and judging by his pics, this should be done by a pro. If you offer such service, then fine; if you weren't, then OP should seek a pro service instead of throwing away money thinking that just by purchasing a new pcb would recover their data.

Hi I thought that i need to transfer rom and because i have working same pcb on another disk. ( I buyed 2 same disk) I believe that i can do it somehow alone. Its not about saving data. Its about saving drive if it will cost more than new drive i would rather buy a new one.

I would like to read your opinion about what cause fried this component.

Thank you for reactions could someone also give me a short brief how to transfer rom from one working pcb to another?

It is very hard to do this yourself, and in the end of the day you will find out that you have spent twice the cost of a new drive, just to achieve nothing.
Since you do not care about the data of this drive, i suggest you bin it (or send it for replacement if under warranty) and go on.

Sorry.
