In most cases, when a drive spins-up it means that the problem is
not with the PCB.
If you want to discuss your problem, you will need to post a new thread in the "Hard Disk Drives: data recovery and repair" section. You need to include any useful information which you have, including: What happened to this drive recently e.g. what changed between when the drive was working OK, and now? Any strange sounds (clicking) from the drive? Any strange smells from the drive? Is there any specific reason why you thought that the PCB was faulty? Are you trying to recover data from this drive (if so, then how important is your data?), or are you just trying to fix the drive but the data is not important?
If you answer those questions in the new thread that I explained above (
NOT in this thread!), then you might get some advice from the DR professionals.
