I'm looking for a WD1200VE-22KWT0 with a DCM of HCAJANB. Manufacture sate was 11/9/2006. Anyone have one or know someone who has one? Thanks

What's the problem with the drive?
Is it clicking?
If yes and you are planning a head swap, then check inside for broken off heads/sliders first and/or platter damage.
Im my experience, often all 4 sliders are snapped off and rattling around inside, and on each of these cases I was unable to get a new head assembly to work and were killed instantly.
In some cases where just one or two were snapped off, then recovery was possible from the surfaces belonging to the intact heads. The surfaces belonging to the snapped heads were virtually unreadable.

hmm, well there doesn't seem to be any loose parts inside. I don't want to open it until I'm ready to work on. For now I'm practicing on junk drives. The drive is an external drive and was off when it was damaged. I also have a Scorpio Blue drive I intend attempt to recover before this drive (the data on that is less important), I already found a good donor for that one since it's newer.
