Hello

I got my WD My Book 3 TB Burned
and i desperately need the replacement board because i have very important data in it

I am actually confused how to read to find the matching board

On this side it's written 4060-705094-001 Rev. A

So i bought it from e-bay. and the result was that the drive seems to be locked and read as raw (so i can assume the board is not yet matched)

on the other side of the board it was written as : 4061 705094 302 rev 03P

So now i need the 4061 705094 302 rev 03P to see if it's working as expected (unable to unlock my 3Tb drive

My location is in Indonesia

I need it very much, so please kindly help me :)

How did you burn it?

Where are the burn marks?

Can you provide a better photo?

Was your drive an Essentials model or an Elements?

To be honest i don't know if it's burned or something, all i know that it can't read my hard disk (only the board light indicator is on but now drive read when plugged to usb3 port), so maybe the usb3 port on the board...

I will provide better picture as soon as i can get my hand on better cam here

the drive is this (on the box only written MY BOOK)

You could try scanning the PCB (depending on the type of scanner).

The reason I asked whether yours was an Essentials is that some models are encrypted. The box indicates that it is. :-(

Anyway, are we to understand that your data are now accessible via USB 3.0?

So it's encrypted indeed
No, the data is not acessible at all
I've tried to connect it with new generic board and the result is this

Locked (in WD software)

Read as raw in Windows Management

Image

and when i tried to run it with some file/partition recovery here's the result
Get Databack (i/o error or unknown error)
-active file recovery (it says no item found)
-R-studio
-GetData Recover My Files Pro ()

none of'em be able to open anything (nothing found)

So that's why i'm now assuming that i need a board with the same exact revision number, just like stated in first post
