Hi All,

I've accidentally enabled SMART after restarting from BIOS my hard disk unable to boot or detecting in BIOS, earlier i was hearing a ticking noise after sometime there is no noise.

I've tried Seatools for Windows and Seatools for DOS but no luck, hard drive is not detecting.
I want to recover my data from the drive if possible total drive itself.

Harddrive details

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12
ST31000528AS
Firmware CC38

Please help..

Thanks in advance!!

Can you show us a terminal log? Please don't issue any commands that write to the drive.

I think the smart enabling is irrelevant.

Sounds like you have physical issues with the drive.

As fzabkar says, show a terminal output. This may well give us some indication of the problem.

Btw... This is the wrong section for posts of this nature.
