According to this person he paid for it but unit was never shipped while seller now ignores calls and emails. I wasn't there, it's what I heard but I have no reasons to not trust this person, a respected member of the data recovery community. Hence my remark about something fishy going on..

He has also made a post himself which is awaiting approval. I just thought it to be wise to make my comment to prevent others from getting scammed.

You want to be careful dealing with this guy. He sold the VNR to me last week, received my payment and did not ship.

He then told me he had a better offer BUT HAS ALREADY SPENT MY MONEY! He has promised a refund once the new payment clears, a bit beside the point, I think.

In any case, the police are getting involved.

Thanks a lot everyone for being active over this thread.

I have received the package today & tested the reader which works perfectly fine. ( Not yet verified the license, just tested the reader with one of our old VNR machine )

I will confirm the receipt so that the seller receives money and handover to chris.

Chris already gave a court notice to seller, i will try to sort it out asap.
