Apex tools:Improvements, revision, free tools and other news

Hi Everyone!
We are pleased to announce that over the past 3 months we have completely refined and improved all of our instruments based on the collected feedback from our customers over several years. This includes improving the shape, correcting the pin holes, and correcting the space between the heads. We have also strengthened the bending point of the instruments. We created a new measuring and testing technique. This allowed us to improve the accuracy of our instruments.
We found that some instruments had a flaw. For these instruments, we can do a free exchange. The following tools:
1. WF4 tool, old version had too wide between heads space - free exchange
2. PB5 and CH2 previous version backside was too long, it made difficulty work with connector - free exchange
All other tools of previous versions are absolutely operable, but if someone wants to improve it to the latest version, we can make a good discount.
In addition, we have to announce price increases for ramp instruments. Legally, we have relocated our company to Kazakhstan in order to retain the ability to accept payments through PayPal. This creates additional costs and fees for us. When we can get our price back, we are happy to do so.
We are keeping our price on e-type and c-type tools.
https://apextoollab.com/price/Also, we are starting to produce e-type tools using plastic. It will be x2 cheaper than aluminum version. Preorders are being accepted.

It means you don’t need to ship to us the old version of tools. We provide new version free, we ask to pay for shipping only.

I was not offered a clock when I had purchased every tool you have? I'd like point out a flaw with your bench as you cannot access the head screw underneath on most drives. Also the old platter stands are too risky and can't be used. Are you offering an exchange on these as well? Thank you

Hi Don!
When you bought all our tools, I didn't make a clock yet. And the price for tools was lower. But if you need the clock, we can discuss.
About 10 months ago we detected that windows of the workbench are too small for ST5000LM000(thank you, Luke) and made it widely enough (we didn’t change the photo on the site still). But we didn't have issues for most drive, only M11 family Seagate.
I should confess the first version of the platters stands had utterly bad design. So I can make a good discount for these items who have old versions (workbench and platter stands). And will try to find the way for free replacement of the first version of the platters stands.

Why didn't you reach out to him directly, rather than complain about things here? As soon as I discovered the flaw with the window size underneath, I let him know and he had it corrected almost instantly and sent me a replacement right away.
While it would be nice to get a discount on the redesigned platter stand, I'd never expect a free replacement as the old stand worked as advertised, even if it wasn't the best design. And, considering how hard it is for Andrey to get paid by anyone outside of Russia, I think he deserves some credit for persevering and not just throwing in the towel.

I don't remember talking to you pal. Don't you have a new club to learn from? I'm sorry to hear about your father...
Anyway, I saw this post about defects and thought I'd add my observation since it wasn't mentioned.
I give you much credit Andrey regarding your platter extractor. It is a game changing tool for sure which I use often.
I don't expect anything for free by the way, maybe a more well designed tool (regarding the platter stands) before they were offered publicly for sale.

Hi Everyone! We have few updates
Platters holder light version.

.

New c-type tool for old barracuda 7200.10/11/12 and relatively new barracuda st500dm002

We can make for you any tool for personal request. For example, recently we made tool for helium Toshiba 18 heads and short version of unstick tools for rosewood and pebble family. It's more convenient to use when heads sticked in edge platter's zone. These tools we didn't add on the website for while. If we get enough request from clients then will be added to the price list.
