I am looking for a working Western Digital 500gb SATA II 3.5" hard drive.

Model # WD5000ksrtl.

Made in Malaysia July 13, 2006.

DCM: HBACAJAA

ICES 003 (Class B)

Sixty hours of my three year old daughter's video is at stake.

Thanks for any assistance!

Mind if I ask a stupid Q, is there any easy way to diagnose the nature of the failure? All this is new to me and what drove me to this site was a WD my book2 crash, and the hopes of finding a controller board. WD and some of the data recovery places I spoke with said that it is more complicated than just swapping boards.

Seems to be the way it is unfolding, I'm preparing myself to just send it in to a company.

....and to not be rude, a bump for the OP.
