Hi, I desperately need to get the data from this drive. I'm guessing that the PCB has died but nothing seems to have burned out. I tried another WD PCB and the drive spins but obviously is not readable without the correct PCB. Other info on the drive is as follows: Date: 31 Jul 2004, DCM: HSCACTJAA, on the PCB itself: 2060-001266-001 REV A, on the Barcode: 2061-701265-200 AL XC1X68 AWBY 6 0005380 6385. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a PCB to suit this drive.

Although you WILL have to swap the ROM chip over, as all later WD drives.

msn me sean@pcimage.co.uk if interested.

Cheers

Sean

Hi - I got a replacement board which worked for a few mins then started making beeping sounds. I have a soldering iron, which is the ROM chip? Sorry can't send a photo at present - how much do you want for the board? Cheers, Jan
