I did send my drive to HDD recover specialist. They tried but were not able to get the drive to function properly. They have also tools for updating/reading ROM chips and my ROM chip was total dead, no data could be read from it...
And they instructed me to find a compatible drive. As the only solution would be the ROM change (if a match is found).
The drive would not even try to start on my motherboard internal SATA, so its very believable that ROM/Firmware is corrupted. With HighPoint SATA controller it tries to spin but stops after couple of silent clicks without mounting.
