I totally agree with Real_Jose_Pinto about the pirated PCI3000.

However, in order to understand it and compare it with other tools, I need one before I really keep it and use it for my business. But in here north america, it is very expensive($11000 USD) and you cannot return it after you buy it. Moreover, there is no any documentation which tell you what it can do and what it cannot do. This is really bad.

I recently bought a pirated PC3000 PCI which is English version of Win2000 and it includes English version of manual of PCI300 and DataExtrator which are from original copy. And it only cost me $200. It woks very well in terms of testing. I even fixed some of laptop HDD of Seagate.

I think I will buy a real one after the testing.

I think that AceLab can afford a few demo versions of its products... just like Salvationdata do.
For example , PC3000 ISA v.14 is cracked anyway - give it for free. Many people will try it on their old drives and will consider buying a newer version to repair their newest drives.

For an honest answer to the question, the pirated version does work and is in English. However, what one will quickly find is that using the pirated model will be very challenging as the user will have no access to tech support from Deepspar/ACE Labs. The manuals, although in English, are horribly written and the support is needed to get a handle on using the product. Peronsaly, I think the pirated product is good for ACE in a sense as it allows people to obtain the product cheap, realize the potential it has, then realize that they have to buy the original with support to learn the ins and outs to operate the unit.

Also, it is not right to use a pirated product to make money from (i.e. if you use the pirated versions for paid data recovery services, you are a dirt bag)

cheers

Well, I won't get the pirated version cause I have the legal version.

The legal version manuals are pretty bad (there's nothing for newer WD)
and I suspect that the pirated manuals are perfect copies of the legal version.

Further, the support from ACE is worse than sh#!, so while I don't support
piracy in any form, ACE really needs to do something to stay ahead of the
pirated version.

The latest UDMA version is just about equal to the pirated PCI version
in value and content.

I agree that their support is not the quickest for newly found anomalies with the software, however, the ability to call them and walk through a recovery job is very valuable to someone that has never used the product. This is mostly attributed to the horribly organized command menus and general work flow of the software. The situation is such that once someone has walked you through the basic workings of the software with several different drive models, use becomes quite easy, however, prior to this initial hand-holding, the software seems quite cumbersome and confusing.

In regards the comment about the pirated PCI being close in functionality with the original UDMA, I would have to disagree as the UDMA is several orders of magnitude faster than the PCI version for extracting data due to the UDMA access speeds.

cheers

You could browse our website:www.salvationdata.com to get specific information
and get some help on line if you meet a hard nut to crack.
You could also email to me: KATE@SALVATIONDATA.COM or use MSN to communicate with me by Kate@salvationdata.com.

Here comes another spammer from salvationdata.......
Please welcome Mr. kate..... :D

Mr. Kate.....
If you really do care, you must have gone through atleast the root forums to get the scenario that what the hell in this forum goes on. Do you think, the topic in which you "offered" us, is the right one to advertise yourself ? This topic was to beware users from that chinese pirated crap. Thus, maysoft made it sticky. It's not a ground for peoples like you to throw the balls of your spams. You should have looked very well for the appropriate threads to advertise yourself/salvationdata. But, as you chose this topic to post it, what should I get from it ? By posting in it, you are relating yourself with that pirated crap somehow. As, you are also chinese, making (crap) tools, spamming/advertising and top of the all, you choose a thread which was disucssing about Chinese junk !

It seems, Salvationdata has hired another Leisure guy after Laura and Davis......

Happy Spamming......... :D :D

Real_Jose_Pinto, could you tell me more about this guy?
Actually, I'm about to buy PCBs for WD & Seagate from him.

Have anyone ever buy PCB from this guy? And did the PCB work?
He sends the same PCB that you ordered?
Does he actually send the stuff?
Most of all, did you recover your HDD from the PCB that you purchased?

Sorry for the questions, and thanks.

ask to view (part of) his contract with Ace.
We always have to sign that before we get the card.

Best regards,

Dobre
