Any rumors out there about what might be included in version 2.0? Any information on release date?

Hello,

The 2.0 release will be coming out next week. Completely new case management system, by-head imaging for IBM and Hitachi drives, HFS support and other features will be included. More than 100 bugs have been fixed! :)

great to have the HFS support native to the software. It appears that improved imaging seems to be the targeted area at this time- is this a departure from the origional focus of firmware repair? 90% of the drives I recieve are still Seagate and Western Digital- the two areas that are least supported at this time. Looking forward to the update.

warnerr:
Initially we were focused on firmware simply because at that time hard drives had lots of firmware issues. It is not so anymore, and most issues are damaged filesystems, bad sectors, head damage, pcb damage. Firmware functions have lower priority, but we will get there sooner or later!

You mentioned that you receive many Seagate and WD drives. Can I ask you what kind of issues are you facing besides 7200.11 standard issues?
