Hi I am looking at FD or PC-3000 SSD.

It's annoying that they don't quote the price on their sites.

Can someone let me know how much FD is?

Thanks

Your best bet is to contact the companies direct....... I know SD do "deals" to shift their tools, if that's the direction you want to go in......

I don't want to pay over the odds.

What one would you say is better for recovering data from memory chips?

Some people say FD is harder to use.

FD is hard for novices, but its easy for experts who want to recovery data from flash mediums.

Compared to other options, FD is pretty much useless........ (my personal opinion).. I do own FD, and have regretted buying it ever since. PC3K SSD or Soft Center are MUCH better options...

True, but you have to keep fingers cross that FD actually READS the chip.

What do you use?

I have been quoted near £1800 for PC-3000 SSD.

For that price I would want it be work 99.9% of the time and with ease.

The problem is without seeing one it's hard to make a decision.

It would be better if they had a video or a UK marketing rep.

I've had the SD Flash Doctor here for almost 2 years...never had 1 clean recovery, but have had a few RAW recoveries. Since getting PC3K Flash, we have much greater success with the file system in tact. SD Flash still hasn't paid for itself in two years, but PC3K Flash has in a couple of months.

The tech support is night and day, too.

So the PC-3000 SSD would be a better one to go for.

I would go down the Soft Center route, as it is a much more powerful tool IMHO.

But if you are expecting 99.9% "with ease" then think again. That is NOT going to happen!!
