SD listens to NO ONE. If these updates do come out, they will probably be the only ones for several years.

They announced the Hitachi update for the 20th of this month....
Will they comply?? Let's wait and see...

Hitachi update did make some difference, now waiting for DC update.. I wonder If they ever update to USB 3.0 functionality without having to buy a completely new tool for another $$$$$

hah, and now you're all proved wrong when they released the new WD 7.0.5 software! Oh wait, first thing it did was bring up a nice fat error message.. Thanks SD~!


Someone should tell their programmer that sprinkling around 32 bit signed integers to represent the size of the drives went out back when they started making drives in multi-terabyte size... or that you don't actually need to store numbers as strings in a binary file.. or the definition of error handling.. or that if you're going to wait 3 years to release an update, you need to actually test your functions, not just write them..
